2009-2010 EVENTS

February 28, 2010 – A Concert of Sacred Music
The Gregorian Concert Choir and Festival Orchestra, under the direction of Rev. Anthony Mancini, along with The Choir of Cranston High School West will perform a concert entitled “A Concert of Sacred Music”, at the Cathedral of Sts. Peter & Paul in Providence on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. Tickets to the event are $10.00 per person.

Sponsored by the Diocese of Providence, the concert will benefit Bishop Thomas Tobin’s “Keep the Heat On” Challenge. This fund has been established to assist those unable to pay their heating bills through the winter months.

KEEP THE HEAT ON KICK-OFF
Keep the Heat On is pleased to partner with the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation, Governor Don Carcieri, Senate President Teresa Paiva-Weed and Speaker William Murphy to kick-off the 2009-2010 campaign to help Rhode Islanders with no place left to turn for heating assistance.

The event is scheduled for 2:30PM on Monday, November 23 at LaSalle Academy in Providence.

2008-2009 EVENTS

December 12, 2008 – Dunkin Donuts Center

Providence, RI – The Providence Bruins are partnering with Wal-Mart and The Roman Catholic Diocese of Providence’s Keep The Heat On Campaign to raise awareness and help support the Keep the Heat On Campaign. Wal-Mart has donated $25,000 to the Keep the Heat On Campaign.

The Providence Bruins and Wal-Mart have invited the Keep the Heat On Campaign out to the P-Bruins game on December 12 to further raise awareness of their efforts in the Providence community. Wal-Mart will be making an on-ice check presentation of the $25,000 grant to the Keep the Heat On Campaign prior to the game and fans will be able to visit Keep the Heat On representatives on the concourse throughout the game night to learn more about the organizations efforts.

December 7, 2008 – The Sounds of the Season
The Gregorian Concert Choir and Festival Orchestra, under the direction of Rev. Anthony Mancini, will perform a concert entitled “The Sounds of the Season”, featuring sacred music of Advent and Christmas at the Cathedral of Sts. Peter & Paul in Providence on Sunday, December 7, 2008 at 3:00 p.m.. Tickets to the event are $10.00 per person.

Sponsored by the Diocese of Providence, the concert will benefit Bishop Thomas Tobin’s “Keep the Heat On” Challenge in aid of the Interfaith Dire Emergency Fund. This fund has been established to assist those unable to pay their heating bills through the winter months.
